Spatial Spillover Effects of Scientific and Technological Innovation on Tourism Economic Efficiency in China
This paper uses the improved entropy method and Bootstrap-DEA model to measure the scientific and technological innovation level and tourism economic efficiency of 30 provinces in China from 2001 to 2019,and uses the spatial autocorrelation analysis method to investigate the spatial clustering characteristics of scientific and technological innovation and tourism eco-nomic efficiency. Finally, the spatial Durbin model is used to explore the impact of scientific and technological innovation on tourism economic efficiency and its spatial spillover effect. It is found as follows.① During the study period, the levels of scien-tific and technological innovation in China and the four major economic regions increase rapidly, and their growth rates have formed a spatial pattern of"central region>eastern region>western region>northeast region",and the development of regional scientific and technological innovation is quite different. The tourism economic efficiency of 30 provinces has been significantly improved, and its growth rate shows the distribution characteristics of"northeast region>central region>western region>east-ern region".② The global and local spatial correlations between scientific and technological innovation and tourism economic ef-ficiency are obvious, showing the high-high and low-low clusters mainly.Scientific and technological innovation has a significant effect on the improvement of local tourism economic efficiency, but it will inhibit the improvement of tourism economic efficiency in neighboring provinces through"siphon effect"and"shielding effect".③ In the process of enhancing the ability of scientific and technological innovation, economic development level, urbanization, industrial structure upgrading, the opening-up policy and other factors are important forces to promote the improvement of tourism economic efficiency.Tourism resource endowment has a significant positive spillover effect on tourism economic efficiency, and the negative spatial effect of economic development level and urbanization is obvious.
