Coordination of Carbon Intensity and High-Quality Economic Development for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration under China's Dual Carbon Goals
Based on the panel data of 13 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the coupling coordination degree model is used to measure the coordination level between carbon intensity and high-quality economic development from 2006 to 2020,and the dynamic evolution, the difference sources and the driving factors of the coordination level are analyzed by combi-ning kernel density estimation,Dagum Gini coefficient and spatial econometric model. The results are shown as follows.① The coordination level of carbon intensity and high-quality economic development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration is on the rise, mainly in moderate coordination, and showing a spatial pattern of diffusion from Beijing and Tianjin as the centers to the surrounding areas.② The dynamic evolution trend of the coordination level of the whole urban agglomeration and the three major regions shows the characteristics of improving the coordination level, reducing the absolute difference and weakening the polarization phenomenon.③ The difference of the coordination level of carbon intensity and high-quality economic development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has been reduced, and the source of the difference is mainly the inter-regional difference, and the difference is larger in the south-central regions and central-northern regions.④ There is a significant spatial correlation and spatial agglomeration phenomenon in the coordination level, and the spillover effects of population density,finan-cial development, capital investment and economic agglomeration on the coordination level are obvious, while the spillover effect of human capital needs to be improved.
