Elderly-Oriented Evaluation and Layout Optimization of Public Service Facilities in the Urban Main Areas of Big Cities:A Case Study of Qinhuai District of Nanjing
The data of the seventh national population census shows that China has already entered an aging society, and the de-gree of aging is further deepening. At present, home care and community care are the main ways of old-age care in China.Under this background, how to make the planning and layout of public service facilities in the urban main areas of big cities accurately meet the needs of the elderly will be the focus of this paper.Based on the POI of community public service facilities and the spa-tial distribution data of the elderly population in the region,Qinhuai District of Nanjing was taken as the study area to carry out the evaluation on the layout suitability of public service facilities in the main urban areas of big cities.Network analysis and Gaussian two-step floating catchment area method were used to evaluate the coverage and accessibility of public service facili-ties.It is found that the coverage of some public service facilities in Qinhuai District of Nanjing fails to meet the needs of the elderly, and there are spatial differences in the accessibility of different public service facilities. The layout optimization ideas of"differentiated community optimization strategies"and"diversified neighborhood centers"are proposed,so as to explore the possible path of applying the measurement results of space coverage and accessibility of public service facilities to the optimiza-tion of community infrastructure layout and elderly-oriented transformation.
