Spatiotemporal Characteristics and Influencing Factors of the Coupling and Coordination between Comprehensive Utilization of Natural Resources and High-Quality Economic and Social Development in Hebei Province
By constructing the evaluation index systems of comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development, the levels of both the two in Hebei Province from 2005 to 2020 were analyzed. The coupling coordination degree between comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development in Hebei Province was measured by the coupling coordination degree model, and its spatiotemporal evolution characteristics were further analyzed. The main influencing factors affecting the coupling and coordinated development of comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development in Hebei Province were explored by using the obstacle degree model and geographical detector. It is found as follows.① From 2005 to 2020,the levels of both comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development in Hebei Province showed an upward trend, among which the comprehensive utilization level of natural resources fluctuated from 0.40 to 0.97,and the level of high-quality economic and social development continued to increase from 0.25 to 0.96.② The coupling coordination degree between the comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development showed a fluctuating upward trend, from barely coordinated development to high-quality coordination. However, there are significant regional differences in the coupling coordination degree, showing a spatial pattern of"high in the north and low in the south".③ On the provincial level, construction land area per 10 000 GDP,natural resource diversity index, water resources per capita and water consumption per 10 000 GDP are the main obstacle factors that restrict the coupling and coordinated development between comprehensive utilization of natural resources and high-quality economic and social development, while topographic index, transportation convenience and human capital are the important external influencing factors.
