Research Review and Prospect Analysis of Superconducting Cables
Compared with traditional cables,superconducting cables have advantages such as low line loss,large capacity,small footprint,and low-carbon environmental protection.They can solve the problems of tight trans-mission corridors and high transmission line losses,and are an important alternative direction for future transmis-sion and distribution lines.Firstly,the classification,structure,and technical advantages of superconducting cables are summarized.Then,the development history and typical application engineering projects of supercon-ducting cables are introduced,and the main research directions for superconducting cables in the future are summa-rized.Finally,a comparative analysis is conducted between superconducting cables and cross-linked polyethylene cables in terms of economy,safety,and carbon emissions.Based on the above analysis,possible application sce-narios for superconducting cables are summarized,and the future development prospects of superconducting cables are forecasted.
