Research on Double-Terminal Traveling Wave Fault Location Algorithm for Transmission Line
High-voltage transmission lines are widely distributed in China.Accurately locating their faults is crucial for ensuring the reliability and stability of the power supply, preventing faults from spreading further, and reducing the workload of maintenance and repair personnel. This paper investigates a double-terminal travelling wave fault location algorithm. The transmission line is first divided into several segments, with a travelling wave detector installed at each segment node. The algorithm calculates the fault matrix based on the signal time detected by each travelling wave detector.Subsequently, zero correction and travelling wave velocity correction are applied to the fault matrix to improve the accuracy of fault distance calculation. Finally,a simulation model is built to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
