Maximum Power Point Tracking Control Strateqy for the Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems in Ship Shore Power Supply
In some remote ports or docks, the reliability of the municipal power grid is relatively weak.By utiliz-ing the renewable resources available at the port, photovoltaic power generation systems can provide shore power to ships. This not only saves operational costs for the docks but also promotes the local consumption of renewable energy. The variable climatic conditions at ship docks can cause the photovoltaic system's power output to fail to maintain maximum levels consistently.Using traditional maximum power point tracking(MPPT)strategies to control the system can result in significant errors during the tracking process, and noticeable power oscillations in the steady state. For the photovoltaic power generation system at ship docks,an improved perturb and observe method based on the tanh function is designed to achieve maximum power tracking control.Through simulation experiments, the actual performance of several traditional algorithms and the new algorithm proposed in this paper were compared, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the new algorithm in shore power systems at docks.
