Key technologies and prospects of doubly-fed variable-speed pumped storage units
Doubly-fed variable-speed pumped storage units(DFVSPSUs)are not limited to rated speed ope-ration and have become as a new direction and research hotspot in the field of pumped storage energy.The social demand and development status of DFVSPSU at home and abroad are introduced,and the princi-ple of DFVSPSU is outlined and its characteristics are summarized.The typical application scenarios of DFVSPSUs are categorized combined with their characteristics.The current research status and major is-sues related to key technologies such as converter technology,control technology,unit design,and manufac-turing technology are addressed.Furthermore,future development of DFVSPSUs is considered and prospected.
