Breeding and High-yield Cultivation Techniques of New Malting Barley Variety Supi No.12
To meet the demands of beer barley production and the market,the new high-quality and high-yield beer barley variety Supi No.12 has been developed by Jiangsu Coastal Area Institute of Agricultural Sciences.It has been identified that Supi No.12 is highly resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus disease.The grain protein content(mass fraction)of Supi No.12 is 12.1%.Supi No.12 has malt extract rate of 80.0%,diastatic power(WK)of 270.0,α-amino nitrogen content of 1.67 g/kg,and Kolbach index of 42.2%.Supi No.12 obtained national certificate for new plant variety rights(CNA20173435.6)in 2021.This variety is suitable for promotion and cultivation in regions such as Jiangsu and Hubei.It should be combined with supporting cultivation techniques to achieve high quality and high yield.
