Analysis on falling film dehumidification characteristics of LiCl-CaCl2 mixed solution under tubular evaporative cooling
Aiming at the low performance of adiabatic solution dehumidifiers,a tube evaporative cooling solu-tion dehumidifier was designed, and LiCl-CaCl2 mixed aqueous solution with high economy was used as the liquid desiccant. The effects of the mass ratio of LiCl and CaCl2,solution parameters and air parameters on the heat and humidity transfer characteristics of the dehumidifier under evaporative cooling and adiabatic conditions were numerically simulated using the theoretical model. The results show that the dehumidification rate per u-nit area of the dehumidifier under evaporative cooling condition is higher than that under adiabatic condition with the increase proportion of up to 41.5%.The smaller the mass fraction of LiCl in the solution, the more significant the performance advantage. The dehumidification advantage of evaporative cooling is significantly affected by the solution temperature. The dehumidification rate per unit area is positively correlated with the dehumidification air flow-rate and negatively correlated with the solution flow-rate.The dehumidification char-acteristics under evaporative cooling with different mixed mass ratios of LiCl and CaCl2 are mainly affected by the solution temperature. When the solution temperature is low,the effect of the decrease of the mass fraction of LiCl on the dehumidification performance is little.Under the two operating conditions, the positive im-provement rate of the air flow-rate on the dehumidification rate per unit area of the dehumidifier reaches 136.9%to 168.1%,while the effect of solution flow rate is weak.
