Evolution of the three-dimensional composite form of urban architecture and its mechanism:A case study of Paris
Three Paris urban projects with three-dimensional composite characteristics in different periods were selected as case samples, presenting the evolution process of morphology from centralized large-scale construction to refined and small-scale collaborative development controlled by multiple entities.By analyzing the correlation between form, values, and policy systems, the underlying mechanism of their formation was revealed. From the aspects of three-dimensional architectural form, functional layout,ar-chitectural and urban permeability, building height and public space quality, the refined control system and methods of Paris were summarized. Finally, through the retrospection and summary of the three Paris projects,it was proposed that the synergy of goals, systems and strategies is the crucial foundation for the realization of three-dimensional composite morphology of urban architecture.Suggestions were made on the design and control of urban planning in China, including the establishment of a consultation mecha-nism for multiple subjects, the adoption of three-dimensional morphological control methods, the con-struction of integration control indexes of the city and the building, and the clarification of responsibilities and powers of the chief planner.
