Adjustment and optimization of line plan for regional high-speed railway network
To meet the transportation development goals of efficiency, accessibility, and equity proposed by the regional integration strategy, methods for adjusting and optimizing high-speed railway line plans were in-vestigated.Based on the requirements of different passenger categories in the region,an integer programming model was proposed to adjust existing train stop plans and introduce additional operating trains. It aims to min-imize the adjustments of the existing line plan, total train stops, and changes in the direct service frequency for passenger origin-destination(OD)pairs,and adheres to constraints on train service, train hierarchy, and train adjustment. After linearizing the model,C# was used to call CPLEX to solve it.The case study results of the Yangtze River Delta region indicate that the optimized plan clarifies the train hierarchy, and establishes a func-tional division of labor and coordination. The express service frequency for high-level OD pairs and the service frequency for commuter OD pairs are improved, and the average train travel speed is increased after implemen-ting the timetable. The direct rate of OD pairs in the region is increased by 6.5%.The service frequency and time distribution for low-level OD pairs are improved.Reasonable adjustments to the line plan are helpful for better utilizing the regional high-speed rail network to serve passengers.
