In this paper, a new dual-band printed monopole antenna operating at 2.8GHz and 5.51GHz is proposed. HFSS is used to simulate and optimize the antenna. The antenna comprised of two stacked T-shaped monopoles with different sizes, which can generate two separate resonant modes for the desired dual-band operations. The proposed antenna has a low profile and can easily be fed by using a 50Ωmicrostrip line. Based on this design, the EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) of antenna with cover is investigated.
