The Shaping of Historical Identity Through Memorial Museum Narratives:A Case Study of the Museum of the Chinese Communist Party
Memorial museums serve as the"memory space"that accumulates artifacts,scenes,and im-ages.Through a narrative framework organized within specific spaces,they connect individual and collective memories,playing a unique role in the shaping of historical identity.As open and continuous narrative texts among subjects,memorial museums,through narrative techniques involving symbolic artifacts,media tech-nology,and interactive visits,shape the historical cognition and emotions of society members concerning his-toricity,foundation,and origins.They help clarify identity positioning,increase identity potential,and ele-vate identity consciousness.Taking the Museum of the Chinese Communist Party as an example,this study demonstrates how the museum,by reasonably exploring historical resources,creating exhibition spaces,and skillfully utilizing media technology,expands the efficacy of cultural relics.It guides visitors in interactive storytelling,strengthens emotional resonance,reproduces the significance of the Chinese Communist Party's great historical struggles,enhances society members'emotional energy towards the historical identity of the Party,and elevates the conscious value of their historical identity.
