A Study of Northern Song Dynasty Tomb M28 Excavated from Guoyuan Village,Hanjiang,Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province
In October 2021,the Yangzhou Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology exca-vated a Northern Song Dynasty brick and stone-chambered tomb in Guoyuan Village,Hanjiang,Yangzhou.The tomb,dated to the seventh year of the Jiayou era(1062),is presumed to belong to Lv Shi-?,a member of the Xuan Gong branch of the Lv family from Xin'an,She county,Anhui.One tomb epitaph and a small quan-tity of burial goods were unearthed.By examining the epitaph,tomb form,and burial objects,and reviewing historical documents,this study supplements relevant historical events of Lv Shi-?and his family and dis-cusses the reverence for antiquity and revival of ritual etiquette trending in the Northern Song Dynasty.
