Innovative Strategies for Designing Educational Activities at Memorial Sites from the Perspective of Actor-Network Theory
Actor-Network Theory (ATN) can help understand the network order and hierarchy of educa-tional activities from a design perspective,stimulating involved social groups to engage in open communica-tion,self-expression,and co-creation. The educational program specialized in memorial sites in Shaoshan employed various strategies such as refining experiential models and co-narrative networks,focusing on the interactions among stakeholders,to explore the design paths,promote dialogues,and activate cultural spaces. This case provides feasible methods to enhance the cultural vitality of memorial sites.
