Construction and Practice of Professional Qualities Cultivation System for Teacher-training Mathematics Majors(Bi-directional Design,Focusing on Course,Knowing Three Skills and Having Four Qualities)
In the new era,the importance of professional development for teachers has become in-creasingly evident.The concept of"Practicing Teaching Virtues,Learning How to Teach,Cul tivating People and Deve oping Oneself"has become a pivotal metric for assessing teachers'professional com-petence.The professional quality training of mathematics majors in normal universities has become the core component of higher normal education,and its significance is undeniable.But teacher-training majors in universities currently feel hard to develop their professional qualities.The problems include the need for further refinement of the professional quality cultivation system,the absence of sufficient scientific rigor in teaching designs,and an urgent requirement to deepen and broaden the scope of teaching practice.To solve the problems,this paper introduces a professional quality cultivation sys-tem,derived from the OBE(Outcome-Based Education)philosophy.It emphasizes an approach of"Bi-directional Design,Focusing on Course,Knowing Three Skills and Having Four Qualities"and em-ploys a model that fosters the teaching abilities of teacher education students through a"Research-Learning-Training-Competition-Practice"sequence.This model aims to comprehensively enhance students'professional qualities and practical skills.Furthermore,the paper introduces innovative meth-odologies,namely"Circular Learning"and"Step-by-Step Assessment",designed to catalyze the ho-listic development of students'professional qualities.
