The composition of conductors of flexible OCS of urban rail transit shall systematically take account of the influence of factors of current carrying capacity, temperature-rise of current carrying, wear of conductors, highest calculated temperature of the system, current distribution coefficient of composite conductors. The continuous current carrying capacity shall be calculated and verified in the process of design with reference of the actual working conditions. The paper theoretically analyzes the factors affecting the selection of conductors of flexible OCS, calculates and verifies the current carrying capacity of different composite conductors. The results show that the current distribution coefficient and current carrying capacity utilization rate of different conductor composition schemes are different, and the selection of the highest calculated temperature of OCS has a more significant impact on its current carrying capacity. Based on the calculation results, related suggestions are proposed for the conductor composition and calculation conditions of the flexible OCS of urban rail transit, providing reference for design of the flexible OCS of urban rail transit.
