Analysis of Operation Optimization Scheduling Algorithm for Coal-fired Power Plants
In this paper,an improved Bat algorithm is proposed to find the optimal solution of economic dispatch in thermal power plants.Thermal power plant operation takes into account both heat and power generation capacity of cogeneration units,so it is a complex and huge challenge for optimization tools.Therefore,we apply the improved Bat method to improve the high-quality search ability and search speed of the traditional Bat algorithm.This approach is based on three modifications of Bat.The first is the adaptive frequency adjustment,the second is the optimal range of update speed,and the third is the good solution retention condition.The test results of 7,24 and 48 unit system and IEEE 14 bus system are compared with the results of BAT method and other existing methods,and the effectiveness of this method is evaluated.The results show that the proposed method is an effective heuristic for economic dispatch of thermal power plants.
