Primary Frequency Modulation for Hybrid Energy Storage Wind Power Plant Based on Model Predictive Control
Wind turbines generally participate in frequency modulation of the system by reserving reserve capacity through load reduction control, which leads to low power generation efficiency of the fan and problems such as fre-quent changes in pitch Angle and speed.Based on the model predictive control method, the strategy of mixed energy storage participating in wind farm primary frequency modulation is proposed. The frequency modulation at the wind turbine is completely controlled by the energy storage system, and there is no need to change or add additional con-trol to the wind turbine.Considering the constraints of the two kinds of energy storage, the optimal index is defined, and the rolling time domain optimal control problem is solved to coordinate the out put power allocation between the two kinds of energy storage. The active power imbalance value of the grid can be solved by rolling time domain esti-mation,so more accurate system state can be obtained. Finally, the simulation results verify the proposed FM strate-gy,and the results show that the strategy can improve the performance of FM.
