Effective source rocks are the foundation for tight oil accumulation and enrichment.Accurately predicting source rock quality is always one of key challenges for favorable tight oil areas optimization.In Linnan and Dongying areas of southern Jiyang Depression,w(TOC)of 3 kinds of lithologies including mudstone,oil shale and limestone are predicted via multiple regression analysis,and significance of source rock quality in studied area on tight oil dis-tribution and enrichment is discussed.Multiple regression analysis method has more accurate w(TOC)prediction for different types of source rocks.Lower Es3 of Shahejie Formation in Linnan area has good-excellent source rocks,gradually deteriorating from Linnan sub-sag to structural belts at the edge.Lower Es3 and upper strata of Upper Es4 in Dongying area have good-excellent source rocks,with the best quality occurring in the sag and its nearby areas.Tight oil in Lower Es3 to Upper Es4 of studied area is mainly distributed in source rock areas with high w(TOC).When w(TOC)is>2.0%,there is significant increase in both the proportion of oil layers and oil-water layers and the proportion of oil immersion and oil patch levels in the area.To achieve commercial or high oil production,tight oil reservoirs above and below source rocks need to be in a certain range of source-reservoir distance.The research provides guidance for predicting tight oil enrichment areas in Jiyang Depression.
