Theoretical analysis of generating virtual seismic gatherings through high-speed rail-induced subsurface seismic wave fields
About 80%of China's high-speed trains operate on viaducts, with vibrations transmitted to the ground through evenly spaced bridge piers. This paper presents a theoretical analysis of the subsurface seismic wave field generated by high-speed train vibrations on viaducts with evenly spaced piers.Based on the feature of coherent phase-stable regions in specific directions,a method is devised to generate virtual seismic wave fields by overlaying vibration recordings from multiple high-speed trains with varying velocities and isolating the excitation from individual bridge piers.Theoretical validation of this method is conducted for scenarios involving single and multiple-layered media.
