Study on distribution characteristics of groundwater resources intermountain basins in the eastern part of Altun Mountains
Location and spatial distribution of groundwater in Quaternary loose sediments of independent hydrological units in intermountain basins in the eastern part of Altun Mountains are studied in this paper. In the regional scope, firstly, remote sensing image data is used to divide the regional structure and hydrogeological unit,secondly,10 audio frequency magnetotelluric sounding profiles are designed according to the geological laws, including 4 long profiles, one along the groundwater runoff direction, and 3 upstream, middle and downstream profiles along the vertical runoff direction.Thirdly, based on the vertical and horizontal geoelectric characteristics of the long profile and the regional hydrogeological conditions, the authors concluded the position of the groundwater recharge sources, underground migration channels enrichment area, drainage area,Quaternary sedimentary center and its morphology.Verified by drilling data, this work has identified the groundwater development and utilization resource areas and key areas, providing a scientific basis for the next step of work and planning.
