Study on hydrogeological effects of Kuantan mountain to Huahai and Jiuxi Basins
The hydrogeological effect of Kuantan mountain on Jiuxi Basin in the south and Huahai Basin in the north of Hexi Corridor is studied in this paper.Based on the large area and complex hydrogeological types of the target area, satellite remote sensing data was used to interpret the regional structure, and then the hydrogeological units was done, and corresponding geophysical exploration work was carried out.Through the analysis of macro large-scale remote sensing images and geological geophysical small-scale evidence along the line,it has shown that the Kuantan mountain has little supply to the Jiuxi Basin in the south, and has formed water blocking structures in the piedmont of the northern side of the Qilian mountains. At the same time,Kuantan mountain, where the seasonal rivers and springs developed are the sources of supply water resources for the Huahai Basin but their role is relatively limited, forms a southern highland in the Huahai Basin and a water blocking structure on the southern side of the Huahai Basin.Through the investigation,it has been believed that Kuantan mountain divides the Jiuxi Basin and Huahai Basin into two independent hydrogeological units.
