Concentrating Solar Power Plants Participate in the Research on Energy and Flexibility Market Clearing Strategies
The strong uncertainty of new energy output poses great challenges to the peak shaving of new power systems,and the controllable regulation ability of concentrating solar power plants can provide flexibility to regulate resources and smooth out power imbalances in the new power system.In order to cope with the flexible operation requirements of new power systems and tap the flexibility support potential of solar thermal power stations,a clearing strategy for solar thermal power stations to participate in the energy-flexibility market is proposed.Firstly,an energy management model is constructed for concentrating solar power plants,their flexible regulation capabilities are analyzed,and a model foundation is provided for participating in flexible regulation of the power grid in a market environment.Then,taking into account the cost of carbon emissions trading,a concentrating solar power plant participation in the joint energy and flexibility market clearing model is constructed with the goal of minimizing operating costs,and solved using the alternating direction method of multipliers.Finally,the proposed method is analyzed and validated through an actual power grid example in western Jilin.The results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce the total operating cost of the system,while increasing the revenue of concentrating solar power plants by 34.23%.
