Research on Low Profile Broadband Conical Beam Microstrip Antenna Based on Zeroth-Order Resonators
A new technique for bandwidth broadening of cone-beam antenna using zero-order resonator is proposed.The antenna loads four zero-order resonators into the circular patch,thereby introducing new resonance and greatly increasing the antenna's bandwidth.The technology extends the antenna's bandwidth from 4.86%to 12.8%.The antenna gain reaches 5 dBi and the maximum radiation direction is 36°.The antenna has the advantages of simple structure,easy machining,low profile and low cost,good cone-shaped beam characteristics in the whole frequency band,and good beam stability.
