Short video has been recognized by the majority of the audience, short video works mushroomed in large numbers, short video production methods are constantly iterated and updated. There are many key techniques in short video production, among which the control of clip rhythm is the most important. This paper analyzes the technical status and existing theories of clip rhythm from the perspective of market status and development trend respectively, explains the learning methods of tools and principles involved in controlling clip rhythm by analyzing common mistakes, and analyzes the influence of clip rhythm on emotional performance of works from the perspectives of creators and audiences.
