Design and Implementation of Near-Line Media Storage Solution for Media Asset System
As the center for the preservation and accumulation of important assets of TV stations,media assets system plays an important role in the daily operation of TV stations.With the development of high-definition and ultra-high definition TV technology,the demand for storage performance and capacity has increased exponentially with the improvement of video bit rate.TV stations need to invest a lot of money to purchase new near-line storage for collecting,sorting,storing and reusing valuable data,so as to realize the production scheduling of the whole TV business under the cooperation of the media asset system.Blu-ray disc library with its long life,high security,low power consumption and other characteristics,suitable for storing data that is not often modified,become the first choice for data backup,but also become the first choice for media assets near line storage.Aiming at the problems of the existing storage system of Ningxia radio and television station,this paper mainly introduces the technology selection and design of Ningxia radio and television station's media assets near line storage system,and elaborates the realization and deployment process of the media assets near line storage system in detail.
