Effect of Functional Electrical Stimulation Combined with Mirror Therapy on Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia
Objective To explore the effects of functional electrical stimulation combined with mirror therapy on upper limb motor func-tion and daily living ability in stroke patients with hemiplegia.Method 156 stroke hemiplegic patients treated from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the subjects.According to the patient's willingness to participate, they were divided into a control group,an electrical stimulation group,a mirror group, and a combination group. The number of patients in each group was 38,38,39,and 41,re-spectively.The control group received routine treatment; The electrical stimulation group received functional electrical stimulation therapy on the basis of the control group; The mirror group was treated with mirror therapy on the basis of the control group; The combina-tion group adopts a combination of conventional therapy, functional electrical stimulation therapy, and mirror therapy for treatment.Com-pare the treatment results from the patient's upper limb motor function score, daily living ability, and other aspects.Result The upper limb motor function scores of patients in the electric stimulation group and mirror group were higher than those in the control group; The combined group scored higher than the control group, electrical stimulation group, and mirror group. In terms of daily living ability scores, patients in the electric stimulation group and mirror group scored higher than those in the control group, while patients in the combined group scored higher than those in the control group, electric stimulation group, and mirror group. The above comparisons showed statisti-cally significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Functional electrical stimulation combined with mirror therapy effectively improves upper limb motor function and daily living ability in stroke patients with hemiplegia.
