Advances in the Study of Angiogenesis and Ischaemic Stroke
Ischemic stroke is one of the common diseases seriously endangering human health, with a high incidence rate, mortality and disability rate. The establishment of collateral circulation can increase the blood volume of ischemic brain tissue and promote the recov-ery of neurological function. In recent years, research has found that angiogenesis plays an important role in the occurrence and develop-ment of ischemic stroke. This article mainly reviews the regulatory mechanism of angiogenesis on the establishment of collateral circula-tion in ischemic brain tissue, aiming to provide assistance for the treatment and prognosis of ischemic stroke.
