Clinical Efficacy of Percutaneous Acupoint Electrical Stimulation Combined with Stretching Therapy in the Treatment of Acute Lumbar Sprain
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation combined with stretching therapy in patients with acute lumbar sprain, and explore its impact on pain relief and inflammatory cytokine levels. Methods Sixty patients with acute lumbar sprain were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The experimen-tal group received percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation combined with stretching therapy, while the control group received oral treatment with losoprofen sodium tablets.Visual Analog Scale(VAS)score,Oswestry Dysfunction Index(ODI),and serum inflammatory cytokine levels were evaluated before treatment,on the 1st,3rd,and 7th day after treatment. Results The experimental group showed bet-ter improvement in ODI,VAS score, and serum inflammatory factors than the control group. Conclusion Percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation combined with stretching therapy can alleviate pain, eliminate inflammation, and improve lumbar function in patients with acute lumbar sprain.
