记述了采自中国云南西部和西北部的无尾果蝠属Megaerops及其两个种:泰国无尾果蝠M.niphanae和无尾果蝠M.ecaudatus为翼手类中国属、种薪纪录.标本收藏于中国科学院昆明动物研究所.
A NEW RECORD GENUS MEGAEROPS AND ITS TWO SPECIES OF BAT IN CHINA(CHIROPTERA, PTEROPODIDAE)
Two specimens of Tailess Fruit bats recently collected at Tengchong County of Western Yunnan and Gongshan County of Northwestern Yunnan respectively were identified as Megaerops ecaudatus and M. niphanae. Megaerops is first record as genus and its two species of China also. The diagnosis characters of the genus include: with claw on the second digit, no or extremely vestigial tail, only one pair of lower incisors (dental formula: 2.1.3.1./ 1.1.3.2. =28), anterior end of turning upwards, and relatively large and protruding nostrils. Temminck's Fruit Bat, Megaerops ecaudatus (KIZ 1615), collected on 31 Oct. 2003 from Zizhi, Tengchong Co. , Western Yunnan: ear big and wide; head and cheeks pale brown; hind-neck, sides of neck and fore shoulders pale brownish gray, forming a clearcollar, contrasting with the brown of the back; breast and belly pale silvery gray; rostrum relatively higher anteriorly, and parallel-sided in lateral profile; has a gap between two upper first incisors; cheek teeth slightly wider. Ratanaworabhan's Fruit Bat, Megaerops niphanae (KIZ 0410151), collected on 7 Nov. 2004 from Qinglandang, Gongshan Go. , Northwestern Yunnan: ear small and short; cheek and head dark brown, tipped blackish; chin, throat, upper chest and sides of neck pale gray, forming a broad band; rostrum relatively lower anteriorly, and sloping and trapezoidal in lateral profile; no gap between two upper first incisors; cheek teeth slightly narrower. The specimens are deposited at Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science.
