A comparative study of different equations of state for prediction of hydrogen thermal properties
From the perspective of the equation of state, the thermodynamic properties of hy-drogen are predicted by different equations of state in low temperature and high pressure ranges. The thermodynamic properties of hydrogen such as PVT data, isovolumetric heat capacity,isobar-ic heat capacity, enthalpy and entropy are calculated by using the cubic and multiparameter equa-tions of state, which are more commonly used nowadays. The results are compared with the stand-ard values given by the NIST database, and the parameters of the equations are corrected to fur-ther explore the advantages and disadvantages of different equations of state for different pressure ranges as well as the reasons for the errors,so that some suggestions are made for the use and im-provement of the equations of state in the future and for the design of the liquid hydrogen related equipment.
