PESTEL Analysis and Response Strategies for the Development of China-Europe Railway Express in the Context of New Changes in Europe and Asia
In order to explore the specific environment of the China-Europe Railway Express at the closing of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative,and to analyze its development prospects in the context of geopo-litical risks,security crises and even military conflicts,this paper,by applying PESTEL,a well-developed model for business environment and strategy analysis,examines the six major dimensions of factors influencing the devel-opment of the China-Europe Raiway Express,namely the policital,economic,sociocultural,technological,environ-mental and legal dimensions,and analyzes the overall environment for its development as an important trade chan-nel in the outer cycle of China's new dual circulation development pattern.The results of the analysis show that the general environment of the development of China-Europe Railway Express is characterized by intensified local challenges and unchanged long-term opportunities.In this regard,we should adopt countermeasures to enhance the narrative of fairness and justice,strengthen multilateral communication and collaboration,and optimize the opera-tion and service mechanism.
