Research on the Measurement of Digital Trade Competitiveness of RCEP Member Countries and Its Influencing Factors
The development of digital trade is unleashing a powerful force, and the signing and implementation of RCEP have brought new opportunities for the development of digital trade among its member countries.Based on the digital trade data of the 15 RCEP member countries from 2005 to 2021,this article measures the comprehensive competitiveness of digital trade, with Michael Porter's"Diomand Model"as the theoretical basis, and the selection of 9 factors affecting the competitiveness of digital trade to empirically analyze the influencing factors. The results show that the scale of digital trade in RCEP member countries is continuously expanding, but the overall competitive advantage is not significant, and there is a large gap in the development of digital trade among regional member countries;informatization infrastructure, urbanization level, openness of digital trade industry, and related policies have a significant positive effect on the international competitiveness in RCEP member countries in digital trade, and have heterogeneous impacts on the five countries of China,Japan,South Korea,Australia,New Zealand, and the ten ASEAN countries.Accordingly, this article proposes suggestions and countermeasures to actively promote urbanization construction, explore digital demand consumption, expand the openness of digital trade, improve digital infrastructure, and focus on the advantages of RCEP policies.
