Impact and Countermeasures of the EU's Anti-Subsidy Investigation on Chinese Electric Vehicles
China has gradually gained discourse power in the electrification and intelligent transformation of the global automotive industry,impacting the traditional automotive industry structure dominated by the United States,Japan and Europe,and will inevitably encounter various forms of trade protectionism.The European Union as a major export destination for Chinese electric vehicle companies,announced on September 13,2023 that it would launch an anti-subsidy investigation into China's electric vehicles.Although the anti-subsidy investigation cannot fundamentally stop the globalization process of China's electric vehicle industry,it may disrupt market expectations and interfere with the management decisions and business layouts of China's electric vehicle companies in the short term.It could also raise the entry threshold and costs of entering the EU market in the future.Thus,it is necessary to remain vigilant and prepare for countermeasures during the window period.
