Comparative Study on the Competitiveness of Digital Trade in Services Between China and India:Insights and Implications
As emerging economies with robust growth trajectories,China and India are increasingly engaged in intense competition in the field of digital trade in services. This paper selects data from 2011 to 2022 to dynami-cally review the development status of digital trade in services between China and India.By introducing metrics such as international market share, explicit comparative advantage index, and trade competitiveness index, the paper conducts a multifaceted analysis. The study finds that both China and India,as major global economies, exhibit strong development momentum.Although India's overall economic strength is not as formidable as China's,it demonstrates a significant international competitive advantage in the digital trade in services sector.India's scale of digital trade in services, export share, and international market share are all higher than those of China, indicating a stronger export comparative advantage and trade competitiveness.Drawing on the Diamond Model theory, the paper analyzes and interprets India's development experience, offering practical insights for the high-quality development of China's digital trade in services.
