In-Depth Measurement,Characteristics,and Development Strategies of China's Regional Digital Trade Rules
Clarifying the depth of China's regional digital rules and promoting their enhancement is crucial for advancing China's digital trade development.Based on a review of the development stages of China's regional digital trade rules,this paper utilizes the TAPED database to conduct an in-depth measurement of 16 regional trade agreements signed by China,including those with upgraded digital trade rules.It is found that China's regional digital trade rules exhibit characteristics of increasing depth and breadth,with a focus on trade facilitation provisions,yet still lag behind international high-standard digital trade rules.Finally,this paper puts forward China's development strategies from four aspects:deepening the depth of China's signed RTAs digital trade rules,creating a"Chinese model"of digital trade rules tailored to China's national conditions,accelerating alignment with international high-standard digital trade agreements,and building a domestic legal framework that meets the needs of international digital trade development.
