RESEARCH PROGRESS OF CARBON SEQUESTRATION IN CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS FROM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE PERSPECTIVE
With the development of industrialization, environmental pollution and energy shortage have been the fo-cus of the world's attention.Since global warming has been a long-term problem faced by mankind,China's imple-mentation of ecological construction is one of the important ways to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. In this paper, the concept of carbon sequestration capacity is expounded, and the existing research prog-ress of carbon sequestration capacity of constructed wetlands are systematically reviewed. The construction of wet-lands involving the discipline of landscape architecture, relevant industries of which should make reasonable use of existing sink augmenting technologies and methods to effectively promote the transformation of constructed wetlands from low carbon sequestration capacity to high carbon sequestration capacity. It is concluded that, the research of carbon sequestration in constructed wetlands needs to go through sufficient practice testing, and carbon sink monitor-ing system and assessment need to be further standardized and improved,so as to make wetland sink enhancement technology mature and improve relevant policies and norms.
