EVALUATION OF HIGH TEMPERATURE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF PVC AND NS COMPOSITE MODIFIED ASPHALT BINDER
The physical property, temperature scanning tests, and multiple stress creep recovery tests are conducted to investigate the effects of polyvinyl chloride(PVC)and nano-silica(NS)on the high temperature rheological prop-erties of asphalt. The results show that the addition of PVC and NS improve the viscosity and consistency of asphalt, and reduce temperature sensitivity, but the low-temperature properties have a deteriorating effectiveness due to the addition of PVC.In addition, the addition of modifiers improves the high temperature rheological properties of as-phalt,enhances the high temperature resistance to permanent deformation, and delays the occurrence of rutting dis-ease.
