STUDY ON THE EVOLUTION OF SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF KOREAN VILLAGES IN JILIN PROVINCE
In the context of rural revitalization, the spatial evolution of cross-border ethnic villages with unique his-torical and cultural backgrounds deserves in-depth exploration. Taking Korean villages in Jilin Province as the case, this article explores the spatial distribution and evolution characteristics of these villages using the ArcGIS plat-form's nearest neighbor index method and kernel density estimation method,in which the correlation between social factors and their evolution in different periods are discussed. The results show that the spatial agglomeration of Kore-an villages in Jilin Province has been decreasing year by year, and the overall spatial distribution has formed a trend of expanding circles. Due to the implementation of policies, the number of villages has increased, indicating a shift from a free mode to organized construction mode, resulting in the formation of a surface coverage area. The construc-tion of railway transportation has led to a linear and regular evolution in the spatial distribution of villages, providing the reference for exploring the cultural connotations, characteristics, and special laws of regional cross-border ethnic groups.
