RESEARCH ON SOIL DISPLACEMENT CAUSED BY SHIELD TUNNELING THROUGH SOIL-ROCK COMPOSITE STRATA
This paper studies the soil displacement law caused by shield tunneling in soil rock composite strata. A formula for calculating the soil displacement caused by tunnel construction is derived based on Mindlin's solution and stochastic medium theory. Based on practical engineering, the settlement laws of surface and deep soil are calcu-lated and verified for reliability. The results indicate that the calculated curve is consistent with the measured data. As the hard rock ratio increases, the horizontal and vertical surface settlement values and the width of the lateral set-tlement groove caused by tunnel excavation decrease. Hard rock layers weaken the influence of additional thrust of the cutterhead(p1),lateral friction resistance of the shield shell (p2),and soil loss on the deformation of the upper soil, but the influence of additional grouting pressure (p3) increases. The paper may provide the reference for the predic-tion of vertical displacement of soil caused by shield tunneling through soil rock composite strata.
