STRENGTH AND DEFORMATION PROPERTIES OF FIBER REINFORCED FROZEN BACKFILL
This paper explores the application potential of fiber-reinforced freeze filling,in which freeze-consolida-tion is used to replace cementitious materials for promoting the material strength and deformation properties. The ef-fectiveness of sisal, basalt, and cellulose fiber on the mechanical properties of frozen filling materials are compared and tested. The results show that sisal and basalt fibers have significant influence on the compressive strength of fro-zen filling materials. The strength of the frozen filling material is much higher than that of cement cementitious and fiber reinforcement, and the fiber-reinforced frozen filling material exhibits high elastic mold and toughness defor-mation.
