RESEARCH ON OPTIMAL DESIGN STRATEGY OF SIDE WINDOWS IN PUBLIC CLASSROOMS BASED ON ILLUMINATION UNIFORMITY
Natural light has a significant impact on the indoor physical environment, especially in teaching build-ings.The uneven distribution of light leads to the lack of light and the glare of strong light in teaching facilities such as blackboards and desktops.Long-term exposure to such environment has an impact on the user's experience and the physical condition of students. This study focuses on the natural lighting uniformity of public classrooms in Bei-jing.Taking the public classrooms in the first teaching building of Beijing Institute of Technology as cases, the key influencing factors in the design of side window lighting are explored through the measurement and parametric simu-lation of indoor lighting in public classrooms.Through the measurement and parametric simulation of indoor lighting in public classrooms, the key influencing factors in the design of side window lighting are explored. It is found that the number of windows, the area of windows, and the height of windowsill are within a certain range, which notice-ably influence the uniformity of indoor illumination. This paper may provide the reference for the optimization strate-gy of side window lighting design of teaching buildings, improving the indoor natural light environment of teaching buildings.
