DESIGN AND APPLICATION OF PREVENTIVE REINFORCEMENT OF EXISTING RETAINING WALLS
Existing retaining walls are subjected to quality defects,material degradation,and component damage.As the walls reach the design service life,they are need to be reinforced when renovation,expansion,and environ-mental changes.In the article,the stability of existing retaining walls is judged qualitatively and quantitatively.By analyzing the residual effective resistance of the original retaining wall,the resistance required for the new support structure is calculated,and a preventive reinforcement design scheme for retaining walls is obtained,providing refer-ence for the reinforcement design of such retaining walls.
