This article aims to address the issue of the current national industrial heritage list focusing primarily on building and equipment types for core items,by proposing a method for selecting core items of industrial heritage from the perspective of social forms. To this end, this article constructs a selection model for fourteen categories of core items, encompassing the levels of productivity development, organizational structure and management models, and social customs. Taking the industrial relics of the Yichun forestry Nancha wood hydrolysis plant as the case,it deeply explains the intrinsic connection between heritage value and core items, considering the social forms of tech-nology,economy,politics,and culture. This approach allows for accurate identification and selection of core items, thereby achieving comprehensive and systematic protection of industrial heritage.
