RESEARCH ON THE SHEAR PERFORMANCE OF EMBEDDED STEEL PLATE COMPOSITE SHEAR WALLS
This paper studiesthe shear performance and the variation patterns of bearing capacity of composite shear walls with embedded steel plates and shear studs. Additionally, the impact of different boundary restraint members and varying steel content in steel sections on the shear performance of the shear walls is investigated using ABAQUS finite element software. The research results indicate that as the aspect ratio decreases, the composite shear walls transition from flexural deformation to shear deformation, resulting in a noticeable increase in lateral stiffness and load-carrying capacity but a decrease in ductility. With the strengthening of boundary edge element constraints, the stiffness and load-carrying capacity of the shear walls significantly increase at each stage with a corresponding im-provement in deformation capacity. Furthermore,an increase in the steel content rate of the boundary edge elements gradually enhances the ultimate load-carrying capacity and deformation capacity of the shear walls.
