THE INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE ON THE STATIC PERFORMANCE OF THE OPEN STEEL STRUCTURE DOME
We conduct a finite element analysis of the static performance of the open steel structure dome of a teach-ing building in a certain university by Ansys Workbench to provide a theoretical basis for safety after construction with the temperature of the members as the variable parameter. Under the loading of snow, ash, glass curtain wall, and wind, the maximum deformation, stress, and bending moment of the structure under the conditions of uniform and uneven temperature distribution are analyzed. The deformation, stress, and bending moment of key members and nodes are monitored. The results show that under low temperature conditions, the rod generates significant ten-sile and bending stresses due to shrinkage. At a temperature of 15℃,the deformation, stress, and deformation caused by temperature of the rod are minimized. The maximum tensile stress, compressive stress, bending stress, and combined stress of the rod increase linearly with temperature under non-uniform temperature. When the upper structure temperature is 45℃,the bending moment of the top pressure ring is the smallest.
