RESEARCH ON THE COMPRESSION DEFORMATION PARAMETERS OF RESHAPED CLAY
The compression deformation parameters of soil are the basis for calculating foundation settlement, which can be obtained through indoor one-dimensional consolidation tests. Considering the long testing process, providing an empirical relationship between the compression deformation parameters of soil and its physical indicators is of great engineering significance. By conducting one-dimensional compression tests on six types of remolded clay, the compression deformation index of the soil is determined, and its correlation with the physical and mechanical proper-ties of the soil is analyzed. The results show that there is a good correlation between the maximum water content,liq-uid plastic limit, and compression index of the soil that can be maintained under the saturated state of remolded clay. By establishing an empirical equation, the compression deformation parameters of remolded clay can be well calculated based on the physical and mechanical indicators of the soil.
