EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE REINFORCEMENT OF LARGE DEEP BACKFILLED SITES BY HIGH ENERGY LEVEL DYNAMIC COMPACTION
Testing areas are set up for different energy levels of a high energy level dynamic compacting treatment project,in which we carry out loading tests, standard penetration tests, heavy dynamic penetration tests, transient Rayleigh wave tests, compactness tests, and geotechnical tests. The effective depth of reinforcement by high energy level dynamic compacting in this project is basically in line with the recommended values of the specification.Groundwater level and pore water pressure have a greater impact on the effectiveness of reinforcement.Basically, the foundation bearing capacity and deformation modulus will be lower when the water level and pore water pressure is higher in the construction process. In the construction of similar sites, the process of backfilling the ramming pit with gravel, increasing the number of construction intervals, and combining ramming with drainage reduction should be used. The study may provide the reference for the construction of large backfilled sites reinforced by high energy lev-el dynamic compacting.
